Construct your own fishing rod February 11 & 12 at the Schrader Center in Oglebay Park.
Begin by learning modern and primitive methods of rod construction, as well as its history and practical applications. Then progress through the steps of installing handles, reel seat, attaching eyes, applying a decorative wrap and coating. The finished product will be a full cork grip, 6 1/2 ft. graphite rod in the color of your choice. All materials and tools provided.
Meets 10am-4pm Saturday, February 11 and 1-4pm Sunday, February 12. Open to ages 16 & up. Ages 12-15 may participate with accompanying adult.
