Join us at the Stifel Fine Arts Center Thursday, April 27 for the opening of the Rodney Gordon: Broadway Milliner & Mask Maker exhibit. A free & festive reception begins at 6:30pm.
An exquisite collection of hats, headdresses, masks, jewelry and armor straight from the stages of Broadway will be on display.
View pieces up-close from productions like Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Producers, A Chorus Line, The Nutcracker and more.
Gordon’s creations transport audiences out of the ordinary and away from reality with a wild imagination, and an even wilder ability to create non-traditional pieces from unusual materials and made-up techniques. With function being just as important as form, this exhibit interprets how hats finish an outfit, fulfill a costume designer’s vision and make a personal statement about the wearer.
Rodney Gordon is one of the premier theatrical milliners in the industry, creating pieces for hundreds of shows, as well as feature films, television and opera out of his New York City-based shop.
The Stifel Fine Arts Center is open 9am-5pm Monday through Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday. The exhibit is on display through June 23. There is no charge for viewing.
Sponsored by United Bank.
