Bring your antiques & collectables to Cabela’s in Wheeling, West Virginia from 10am-2pm Saturday, September 9 for appraisals by Tim Luke and Greg Strahm, co-owners of TreasureQuest Group, Inc.

Local residents can have single items appraised for $15 or 4 for $50.

No firearms for this event, please. Experts in Cabela’s Gun Library will appraise firearms and research sources to find the current value.

Proceeds support the Museums of Oglebay Institute. For more information call 304-242-7272.

Appraiser’s Apprentice Program:

Experience the rare opportunity to sit on the appraiser’s side of the table and learn how they work. See all of the interesting items that pass through, up close.

Tim Luke and Greg Strahm, collectively know as The Appraisal Guys, have more than 20 years of experience as accredited appraisers. Their extensive background has taken them around the world, providing auction, appraisal and consultation services.

They are accredited members of the International Society of Appraisers and co-owners of Treasure Quest Appraisal Group. They have appeared on Antiques Roadshow, HGTV’s Cash In the Attic and Fox’s Strange Inheritance. As auctioneers, they have presided over the sale of a Honus Wagner baseball card, Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress and items from the estate of Michael Jackson.

Each September this team visits Wheeling to share their antiques knowledge and advice with local residents through a appraisal events, a benefit auction, home visits and a variety of other public programs.
