Join Mary Ellen Cassidy for a discussion on solar energy 2pm Sunday, March 25 as part of the Schrader Center’s Living Green Lecture Series.

The Living Green Lecture Series brings local experts to discuss a variety of environmental topics and share knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices that can be applied at home.

Free and open to the public.

More about Mary Ellen Cassidy:

Mary Ellen is co-owner of the historic First State Capitol, a building in downtown Wheeling that integrates the principles of historical preservation and the New Energy Economy’s energy efficiency technology and solar rooftop panels.

Mary Ellen’s professional work includes teaching chemistry and statistics at Wheeling Jesuit University, as well as grant-supported research focused on the impacts of energy systems on community watersheds.

Mary Ellen serves as the Coordinator for the New Energy Economy Program at WALS (the Wheeling Academy of Law and Science). She also serves on the City of Wheeling’s Ad-Hoc Committee on Recycling, is a Board Member of WV SUN, and Coordinator of the Wheeling Solar Co-op.
