Tuesday Morning Bird Walk at the Schrader Center

Enjoy an early morning walk with the birds along the trials of Oglebay! A Schrader Center naturalist will point out identifying field marks and songs of the local birds that visit our feeders and trails. Binoculars and field guides provided.

Meets 8-9am Tuesdays, June 2 through August 11 at the Schrader Center. (Does not meet June 30.)

All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate shoes.

$5 per person. Free for OI members or those with activity wristbands.

Safety Guidelines:

Participants in summer programs at the Schrader Center can expect the following safety precautions and guidelines in response to the Coronavirus:

• Check-in will take place outside the Schrader Center on a first come, first served basis.
• 6’ of distance will be enforced for those who are not in the same household group.
• Household groups will be assigned their own exploration areas to maintain physical distancing.
• Household groups will be assigned their own program equipment which is disinfected before and after use.
• Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
• Instructors will be wearing face coverings when 6’ of distance cannot be met.
• Face coverings are recommended for each participant.

Activities ignite children’s interests in science and nature. Children socialize with other kids outside of a traditional classroom setting. They have a lot of fun, too. And parents meet and connect with other parents. Most of all, our programs instill a lifelong appreciation and respect for the natural world.
