Neon Swing X-perience: Jumpin’ & Jivin’
On Saturday, November 12, Jazz at the Stifel welcomes the Neon Swing X-perience (NSX). This explosive band jumps, jives and rocks. They also perform regularly at one of Pittsburgh’s swankiest jazz clubs– NOLA on the Square.
NSX performs vintage American genres such as swing, rockabilly, hot jazz, horn rock, and blues. Described as “swing with sting,” NSX’s style is a raucous modernization of multiple influences all rooted in the big bands of the 1930s and 1940s. Wild, wacky, zany and fun! Every NSX performance is an explosive retro party guaranteed to fill your ears with excitement.
Show begins at 8 p.m. November 12. They 100-year-old Stifel Fine Arts Center is the former home of one of Wheeling’s most prominent families and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
While enjoying a selection of desserts and wines that are available for purchase at all jazz shows, explore the historic home. You can view the art on display in the galleries, too.
