Wine and Dine in the Historic Stifel Mansion for Valentine’s Day

Celebrate Valentine’s Day in grand style! Wine and dine in the historic Stifel Mansion. Oglebay Institute hosts its annual Valentine’s Day Wine Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, February 9 at the Stifel Fine Arts Center, 1330 National Road, Wheeling.

Sip five wines while savoring a five-course dinner.  You’ll enjoy live violin music, too.

Wine and food pairings are as follows:

•Taken Pinot Grigio with seafood tostada (shrimp, scallops and crab)
•Dreaming Tree Sauvignon Blanc with butternut squash bisque
•Flirt Red Blend with roasted beet and spinach salad with Feta and balsamic and blueberry vinaigrette
•Ravage Cabernet with black and blue filet with cabernet onions, parmesan polenta and roasted green beans

•Cucina Mista Red with red velvet cheesecake

The 100-year-old Edemar Mansion (now known as the Stifel Fine Arts Center) is the former home of one of Wheeling’s most prominent families and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

As you explore the historic mansion, you will marvel at the stained glass windows, grand central staircase, marble floors and the majestic fireplace in the formal living room. During events, you can also view the art exhibits on display in the gallery.
