Naming Opportunities

Buy A Brick

Leave your mark on a place that has left its mark on you! Celebrate your favorite OI memories by naming a brick for your family, a loved one, or yourself. These high-quality, laser-engraved bricks will form a walkway in the formal garden at the Stifel Fine Arts Center and are available in two sizes:

4” x 8” – $150 (3 lines of text, 20 characters per line)
8” x 8” – $300 (6 lines of text, 20 characters per line)

Brick orders have reopened! Click here to design your brick.
Installation date to be decided.

The first installation of bricks was completed July 27, 2022. See them in person at the Stifel Fine Arts Center.

Save A Seat

Celebrate a favorite experience or honor a loved one by naming a seat in the auditorium at Towngate Theatre! Your gift will help put a new roof over the heads of community actors, students, volunteers, and audience members, ensuring the future of live theater in Wheeling.

Seats can be named for a gift or pledge of $500 or more, and payment can be made in two installments. OI will proudly recognize your support with an engraved plaque on your seat. There are a limited number of seats available so reserve yours today by clicking here or call 304-242-4200!

Legacy Gifts

Legacy gifts are an essential piece of the philanthropy that sustains Oglebay Institute’s mission. Supporting OI beyond your lifetime creates a lasting impact for the organization and for the tens of thousands of people who engage with our programs year after year.

Your legacy gift to OI will ensure the future of the arts, history, and nature experiences that the community has enjoyed since 1930. You’ll also be a part of preserving OI’s facilities, both historic and modern, which house many of those programs.

OI’s 1930 Society honors individuals who have generously invested in the future of the Institute through a bequest or other type of planned gift. Thanks to their kindness and foresight, generations to come will share in OI’s tradition of exceptional opportunities in performing and visual arts, dance, history, and nature for people of all ages and abilities.

For more information on how you can leave a legacy with OI, to find sample bequest language, or to notify us of a provision you have already made in your estate plans, please visit OIonline.com/plannedgiving or contact our administration offices at 304-242-4200.
