Private instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling and various other styles as requested. All ages.

June 8-12, 2026 Broadway Musical Camp
Take a trip to the Great White Way and explore music and dances from some of your favorite Broadway musicals.  Students will hold a performance at Stifel Fine Arts Center on Friday, June 12 at 1:30pm.

June 8-12, 2026: Pointe Camp I & II 
Work on technique, strength, barre, and center.  Must have at least three years ballet experience.

June 15 – 19, 2026: Nutcracker Camp
It’s Christmas in June with dancing flowers, flurries of snowflakes, beautiful fairies, and a legion of mice!  Dancers will learn to bring this magical story to life in a June Christmas fantasy! Students will hold a performance at Stifel Fine Arts Center on Friday, June 19 at 1:30pm.

June 15 -19 2026: Ballerina Ball: A Ballet Royal Adventure – New!
This camp welcomes young dancers to the world of classical ballet. Children learn the foundational steps of ballet technique -plie’, tendu, graceful port de bras – through fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate activities.  Each day highlights a different classical ballet, allowing dancers to step into the stories of Swan Lake, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and more.  With music, props, and guided choreography and movement campers dance to original classical music for an authentic experience.

June 15 – 19, 2026: Gumby Kids Class
For children who have taken lessons and are aware of the basic acrobatic arts skills with emphasis on increasing flexibility tricks and improving proper form and technique through the proper progressions.  Taught to the needs of each child’s ability.

June 22-26, 2026: Summer Dance & Vocal Intensive
Focused Training in the disciplines of ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, modern, and vocal coaching from highly accomplished guest faculty to help prepare students for success in today’s diverse world of dance.  There will be a showcase on Friday at 3pm.  Students must bring their own water bottle and yoga mat.

June 29 – 30, 2026: Contemporary Base Workshop – NEW!
This workshop will begin with a full body warmup focused on alignment, strength, and flexibility followed by a contemporary combination.  Beginner-friendly class will introduce foundational techniques and creative movement.  Intermediate/advanced class will introduce dancers to a deeper technique and expand their artistry.  Dancers will be able to explore movement quality, texture, and performance skills throughout the class.  Instructed by Kailey Nugent, OI Alumni and Point Park Dance Major.  Watch for Kailey in a music video called “The Oz Dust Ball”.

June 30 – July 1, 2026: Acting and Dance Through Song: Learn Audition Techniques

Join actor, musician, and theatrical producer Ryan McCurdy for a two-day workshop that will focus on strengthening each performer’s voice to bring greater tonal clarity and dynamic.

The concepts and methods taught throughout this course teach actors, singers, and dancers how to engage the lyrics of both musical theater and popular rep. Through specific repeatable techniques, both physical and mental, performers of all disciplines discover the core of a song by creating specificity and truth that keep the singer in the moment.

Workshop includes one day of one-on-one training with individual performers and one day of group instruction, which can include performances from the first day’s work or in-the-moment work using traditional and popular melodies. Students are required to bring a song with sheet music they wish to work on during the workshop.

More about the instructor: Ryan McCurdy is an actor-musician and theatrical producer with Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional stage credits. He also has film and television experience and a background in both public and private education.

June 30, 2026: Jumps & Turns Workshop – NEW!
Beginner/Intermediate levels working on proper dance and gymnastics jumps and turns technique.

July 1, 2026: Rhythmic Gymnastics Workshop – NEW!
A beginning rhythmic gymnastics workshop is ideal for children aged 6-9, focusing on foundational skills like jumps, basic ballet, dance, acrobatics and coordination.  It is also incorporating introductory work with rhythmic equipment such as ball, hoop and ribbon.

July 6 – 10, 2026: Annie – The Musical – NEW!
Get out your scrub brushes and join us for a free- spirited and adventurous summer musical camp, “ANNIE”.  Students will hold a performance on the porch of the Stifel Fine Arts Center on Friday, July 10 at 1:30pm.  Please bring a lawn chair.  Students please bring your own lunch each day.

July 13-17, 2026: Let’s “S.T.E.A.M. Through Dance” – NEW!
S.T.E.A.M. is an educational approach that integrates science, technology, engineering, The Arts (specifically dance), and mathematics to foster creative problem-solving, critical thinking and a holistic understanding academic concepts through movement.

July 13-17, 2026: Disney Princess Ballet Dance Camp 
Enjoy a week of princess training filled with ballet and acrobatics instruction, along with creative movement styles of jazz and lyrical.  Each day will focus on a different princess including Elsa, Belle, Snow White, and many more favorites.  Children may come dressed as their favorite character each day.  No previous dance experience needed.

July 20-24, 2026: Advanced Ballet – Pointe Camp – NEW! 
Refine your basic ballet terms, positions, & dancing in rhythm and work on the elements of pointe.

July 27-29, 2026: Broadway Jazz and Tap Workshop (Intermediate/Advanced) NEW! 
This 3-day workshop is for all things Broadway dance!  Students will learn choreography inspired by iconic Broadway shows in different dance styles including jazz, tap, and lyrical.  This workshop is great for students interested in performing, by focusing on stage-presence technique, and musicality within different dance genres.  Molly Henthorne, instructor.  Molly currently attends Oklahoma City University Star Dance Company, majoring in Dance, and is a graduate of OI Dance Company and WPHS Players.

August 3-7, 2026: Disney Descendants Camp – NEW! 
Come and learn all styles of dance including ballet, hip hop, jazz, tumbling, and lyrical-all along to your child’s favorite Disney Descendants’ songs. Children of all ages are welcome.  A dance showcase will be at 2pm on August 7th at Stifel Fine Arts Center.

August 17-21, 2026: Beauty & the Beast Camp – NEW! 
Please join us to learn choreography with fun activities based on Beauty and the Beast. Dancers will learn choreography and perform at the Towngate Theatre with the Oglebay Institute Youth Ballet Company (October 2026)
