June – August, 2024: Private Dance and Tumbling Lessons
Private instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling and various other styles as requested. All ages.

June 10-14, 2024: Internet Safety & Self Defense
Taught by former City of Wheeling detective Matt Taylor, this course teaches empowerment and wellness, while instilling the confidence to protect and defend oneself. Learn evading and escape techniques and how to effectively protect yourself from being physically bullied. Internet safety, etiquette, and cyber bullying will also be covered. Beneficial for those going to residential summer camps and/or college.

June 10-14, 2024: Broadway Musical Camp- NEW!
Take a trip to the Great White Way and explore music and dances from some of your favorite Broadway musicals. Students will hold a performance at the Stifel Fine Arts Center on Friday, June 14 at 1:30 pm.

June 10-14, 2024: Disney Princess Ballet Dance Camp Session 1 (June 10-14)
Enjoy a week of princess training filled with ballet and acrobatics instruction along with creative movement styles of jazz and lyrical. Each day will focus on a different princess including Elsa, Belle, Cinderella, and many more. Children may come dressed as their favorite character.

June 10-14, 2024: Disney Flip Flop ‘Til Ya Drop- NEW CAMP!
For children who have taken tumbling and acro classes and are experienced in intermediate to advanced progressions.  Emphasis will be on strength, flexibility, and improving technique and connecting skills.  Back handsprings, aerials, and back tucks will be focused on, just to name a few!

June 10-14, 2024: Pointe Camp I & II
Work on technique, strength, barre, and center. Must have at least three years ballet experience.

June 10-14, 2024: Gumby Kids Class
For children who have taken sessions and are aware of basic acrobatic skills. Emphasis will be on increasing flexibility tricks while improving form & technique through proper progressions. Taught to the needs of each child’s ability.

June 17-21, 2024: Summer Dance & Vocal Intensive
The Summer Dance & Vocal Intensive provides professional, focused training in the disciplines of Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Modern, and vocal coaching from highly accomplished guest faculty to help prepare students for success in today’s diverse world of dance. Lunch and t-shirt are included in the cost. Students must bring their own water bottle and yoga mat. There will be a showcase on Friday afternoon.

June 17-21, 2024: Barbie Girl Dance Camp- NEW CAMP!
Come on Barbie, let’s go to a dance party! In this dance camp, the dancers get to live out their Barbie dreams. We will explore different techniques in the genres of ballet and jazz over this 5-day camp to create all kinds of Barbie-themed dances, all while each dancer channels their innermost Barbie! We will also have a dance party on the last day, if the dancers want to bring a snack for their friends, as well as a Barbie-themed photoshoot opportunity in our Life-Size Barbie Box. Remember dancers, “Imagination, life is your creation!”

June 25-26, 2024: Acting and Dance Through Song: Learn Audition Techniques
Join actor, musician, and theatrical producer Ryan McCurdy for a two-day workshop that will focus on strengthening each performer’s voice to bring greater tonal clarity and dynamic.

The concepts and methods taught throughout this course teach actors, singers, and dancers how to engage the lyrics of both musical theater and popular rep. Through specific repeatable techniques, both physical and mental, performers of all disciplines discover the core of a song by creating specificity and truth that keep the singer in the moment.

Workshop includes one day of one-on-one training with individual performers and one day of group instruction, which can include performances from the first day’s work or in-the-moment work using traditional and popular melodies. Students are required to bring a song with sheet music they wish to work on during the workshop.

More about the instructor: Ryan McCurdy is an actor-musician and theatrical producer with Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional stage credits. He also has film and television experience and a background in both public and private education.

July 8-12, 2024: Cirque de Ballet Camp
A continuation of the Cirque de Ballet class. Intermediate to advanced level training. Students must have previously taken a class with Miss Kim and have a minimum of 3 years ballet and acrobatics/tumbling training.

July 8-12, 2024: “Frozen” Musical Camp
Hoo-hoo! Big summer blowout!  Students might want to build a snowman as they discover to “Let it Go” and that the “cold never bothered them anyway” through the exploration of dance, theater, and music. Students will hold a performance at the Stifel Fine Arts Center on Friday, July 12 at 1:30 pm.

July 15-19, 2024: FUNastics, FUNdamentals and Fitness- NEW CLASS!
Gear up for pre-K and Kindergarten with a tumble your way down a Physical Sesame Street!!  Get ready for the letter, number, and skill of the day to enhance large and fine gross motor skills.  Learn to take turns, follow directions, and respect others.  Everyday can be a sunny day, just smile, play, listen, learn, and be good friends to each other.

July 22-26, 2024: Nutcracker Camp-NEW CAMP!
It’s Christmas in July! Dancing flowers! Flurries of snowflakes! Beautiful fairies and a legion of mice! Dancers will learn to bring this magical story to life in a July Christmas fantasy! Students will hold a performance at the Stifel Fine Arts Center on Friday, July 26 at 1:30 pm.other.
