Kid’s Art with Katie
Kids will create fun art making projects in a variety of materials in a space where they create freely in a group setting. The projects focus on weekly themes and students will develop observational, technical, cooperative and self-expressive skills by engaging in the art making process. Students will create paintings, prints, sculptures and more!

Magic of the Pottery Wheel
Students will work with clay on the pottery wheel and use a variety of hand building techniques that will produce amazing results. All pottery will be glazed and functional.

Stained Glass
Learn glass cutting techniques while exploring the characteristics of glass. From beginner to advanced.

Woodcarving
For beginners to expert. Learn woodcarving techniques at your own pace from experienced carvers.

Painting from Nature
Learn how to take inspiration from nature for your paintings while experimenting with expressionistic, abstract, impressionist, and realistic painting styles. We will be painting outdoors from life and indoors from sketches, photos, and natural objects. Nature-based and landscape painting artists will be presented. Students will leave more confident and inspired to add new techniques and subject matter to their artistic practice. We will be working primarily in watercolor and acrylic, but you are welcome to bring oil paints if you prefer. Materials and equipment are provided.

Beginning to Advanced Oil Painting
Explore what you need to start painting with oils. Learn what materials to use and how to use them to produce your painting. Paint along with Greg and on your own with guidance. Materials not included; supply list will be provided.

Beginning Watercolor (Morning)
Explore and enjoy the painting process while learning the fundamentals of watercolor. Learn basic techniques and color mixing in watercolor to create different subjects each week. Each week we will use basic techniques to create exciting paintings. Subjects include florals, landscapes, and animals.

Beginner Pottery 
Learn the fine art of pottery no matter what your skill level is. Work with wet clay and glazes. Learn wheel throwing and hand-building techniques.

Intermediate Pottery with Debbie Joseph
Take your love of pottery to the next level. Work with wet clay and glazes. Learn more advanced wheel-throwing and hand building techniques.

Open Pottery Studio
This is open to students who have taken pottery classes at the Stifel Fine Arts Center before. There will be no instructor during open studio but students will receive shelf space and may make a maximum of 16 pots. Additional pots $5 each. (Limit of 15 participants.)

Copper Hand-Cut Jewelry presented by Diana Laura
In this workshop, we will be hand-cutting copper designs to use for jewelry. Learn simple techniques on how to finish earrings and necklaces without needing to solder.for more details.

Lead Came and Glass Painting Workshop presented by Kellie Ahmad
Each student will work through all the steps involved from design to finishing using a small sample pattern. The emphasis for this class will be on the glass painting and differences between the copper-foil and lead came methods.

Copper Hand-Cutting Keychain Workshop presented by Diana Laura
In this workshop, we will be hand-cutting a simple keychain accessory out of copper. The class will mainly focus on developing technique and comfortability for using a jewelry saw.

Monoprinting with Gel Plates presented by Frances Metcalf
Learn how to make monotype prints using gel plates. Monotypes are a type of printmaking that produce one image on paper. No printing press is required—once you take this class, you can print at home. Learn about inking techniques, using stencils, and ways you can use the prints you make including collage, backgrounds for other art pieces, and art journals.

Bring your own stencils and items for making textures or use the ones provided in class. Flowers and leaves are great for gel plate printing. Bring an apron to protect your clothing.

Note: Gel plates will be available for use in class.

Copper On Copper Painting Class by Diana Laura
Learn how to patina a copper sheet using only 3 house-safe ingredients. The magic mainly happens after the class when you see your beautiful painting slowly turn “Liberty green,” or you can leave it as is and seal what you painted in class.

Introduction to Stencil Monoprinting presented by Frances Metcalf
Learn how to make monotype prints using a printing press and stencils. Monotypes are a type of printmaking that produce one image on paper. Discover the basics of press use, as well as inking techniques and work with paper, ink, found objects, pattern, and texture to create diverse print compositions.

Bring your own stencils or make some new ones in class. Inks and paper will be provided. Bring an apron to protect your clothing.

Pressed Flower Suncatchers presented by Kellie Ahmad
Learn how to make a beautiful stained-glass sun-catcher using pressed and dried flowers. You will learn how to press your own flowers for future projects and crafts! This makes a great gift, or you can keep it for yourself.
