Join us for this explosive retro party performance with Neon Swing X-perience at 8pm Saturday, April 9.
Neon Swing X-perience (NSX), based in Pittsburgh, has been described as “swing with sting.” NSX gets people from all walks of life to come together and have a good time! For 20 years, the band has done just that by performing hundreds of shows throughout the US and releasing eight recordings.
2022 is Neon Swing X-perience’s final year of performing, with only two shows left on the schedule. Lucky for us, one of them is at the Stifel Fine Arts Center as part of our Jazz at the Stifel series.
NSX has been relentlessly devoted to updating and preserving vintage American genres such as swing, hot jazz, blues, rockabilly, and horn rock. NSX’s style is a raucous modernization of multiple influences all rooted in the big bands of the 1930s and 1940s.
NSX performs regularly at one of Pittsburgh’s popular jazz clubs—NOLA on the Square. The group has performed at some of the hippest locales in the United States including Central Park Band Shell in New York City, the legendary Derby in Hollywood, Rehoboth Beach Bandstand in Delaware, and the world’s biggest rockabilly festival—Viva Las Vegas.
All tickets are $25. Purchase online or call 304-242-7700.

Some of the region’s top jazz artists perform at the Stifel Fine Arts Center on select Saturdays throughout the year. Crowd-pleasing performers, expert showman and award-winning song stylists entertain crowds in the elegant, yet intimate, splendor of one of Wheeling’s grand properties.
The 100-year-old Edemar Mansion (now known as the Stifel Fine Arts Center) is the former home of one of Wheeling’s most prominent families and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
While enjoying a selection of desserts and wines that are available for purchase at all shows, marvel at the stained glass windows, grand central staircase, marble floors and the majestic fireplace in the formal living room. During warm weather, stroll through the gardens. You can also view the art on display in the gallery.
