About the Movie

Oscar-winning Francis Ford Coppola directed and produced this gothic tale of damned souls and a romance that spans generations.

One of the most exuberant, extravagant films of the 1990s, it features dizzying cinematic tricks, astonishing performances, dramatic musical score, and Oscar-winning costumes—many of which are museum-worthy works of art.

Based on Bram Stoker’s landmark 1897 novel, the film stars Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves, and Tom Waits.

You Can Have Dinner, too!

Moviegoers have the option to have dinner in Towngate’s social room prior to the screening. Park once and enjoy twice the fun!

Dinners will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. before each film. After dinner, head upstairs for the movie at 7:30 p.m. The cost for dinner is $30 and includes your seat for the movie, all food, coffee, tea, water and a box of popcorn to enjoy during the film. Beer and wine are available for purchase.

The menu for the evening includes baked steak or boneless baked chicken (select one), mashed red potatoes & gravy, green beans, tossed salad, and peanut butter cake

You must make reservations for dinner by 2pm Monday prior to the screening. You don’t need to make reservations for the film.

Towngate: A unique movie theater in Wheeling.

A church-turned-theater, Towngate is located in Wheeling’s historic Centre Market District and is part of the nonprofit Oglebay Institute. Towngate offers entertainment almost every weekend including theater, improv, live music, children’s theater and more. A variety of acting classes are offered year-round.
