About the Movie
Set in turn of the century London, Mary Poppins follows a magical nanny, who employs music and adventure to help two neglected children become closer to their father.
Produced by Walt Disney, Mary Poppins is one of the most successful and beloved musicals in cinematic history. Julie Andrews, one of the most iconic actresses of all time, stars as Poppins, and won a Best Actress Academy Award for her performance.
The film was nominated for a total of 13 Oscars, including Best Picture, and won five.
You Can Have Dinner, too!
Moviegoers have the option to have dinner in Towngate’s social room prior to the screening. Park once and enjoy twice the fun!
Dinners will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. before each film. After dinner, head upstairs for the movie at 7:30 p.m. The cost for dinner is $30 and includes your seat for the movie, all food, coffee, tea, water and a box of popcorn to enjoy during the film. Beer and wine are available for purchase.
The menu for March 10 includes Fried Fish or Boneless Baked Chicken (select one), Macaroni & Cheese, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, and Apple Crisp Pie.
You must make reservations for dinner by 2pm Monday prior to the screening. You don’t need to make reservations for the film.

A church-turned-theater, Towngate is located in Wheeling’s historic Centre Market District and is part of the nonprofit Oglebay Institute.
