Towngate Theatre presents "Stones in His Pockets"

“Stones in His Pockets,” a wickedly funny Irish play, is on the main stage at Towngate Theatre in Wheeling.

Shows take place March 17, 18, 19 & 24, 25, 2023. Curtain is at 8pm Fridays and Saturdays. A 3pm matinee takes place Sunday, March 19.

*A performance has been added for 8pm Friday, March 31.

Post-Show Irish Dinner
Presented by the Friends of Towngate an Irish dinner takes place at 5:30pm Sunday, March 19 in the Gallery at Towngate. Menu includes cabbage rolls, colcannon potatoes, carrots, salad, and dessert. Bob Gaudio will perform live music. Cash bar.

Cost for the dinner is $25 per person. (Does not include show ticket.) Advance registration required for the dinner and can be made when purchasing tickets.

About the Play

Hollywood comes to rural Ireland in this wickedly funny, multi-award-winner which ran for four years in London’s West End. Down-on-their-luck Irishmen Charlie and Jake get hired as extras on a big American movie being filmed in their village. Drama ensues—some hilarious and some heartbreaking—as they begin to discover that their romanticized Hollywood dream isn’t quite what it seems.

Two actors play multiple characters in this tragicomedy that pits harsh reality against Hollywood endings.
