Personal Memberships
Membership is the cornerstone on which Oglebay Institute is built. The organization is proud to boast a strong membership base of more than 1,100 individuals, families and businesses. This support not only serves as the community’s tangible expression of support, but it also underwrites free community events and school programs, enables qualified staff to be retained, and affords the maintenance of the organization’s public facilities.
Please find below detailed descriptions of OI’s numerous membership levels. Each is complete with a wealth of valuable benefits such as discounts and guest passes.
There are several convenient ways to purchase an OI membership: you may use the “My Account” feature on this website; visit any OI facility; or call the OI Administrative Office at 304-242-4200.
General Membership ($55)
The following privileges for up to two people living in the same household.:
- Discounts on nearly all Oglebay Institute programs, including classes, theater, camps, workshops, wine tastings and more.
- Early registration for summer day camps
- Free admission to Oglebay Institute’s Mansion & Glass Museums at Oglebay
- Free admission to Schrader Center Summer of Wonder Programs (campfires, astronomy and more)
- Access to “Members Only” events
- Subscription to MemberWorks – Oglebay Institute’s “Members Only” quarterly magazine
Family Membership ($80)
The following privileges for up to two adults and up to six children or grandchildren*:
- Discounts on nearly all Oglebay Institute programs, including classes, theater, camps, workshops, wine tastings and more.
- Early registration for summer day camps
- Free admission to Oglebay Institute’s Mansion & Glass Museums at Oglebay
- Free admission to Schrader Center Summer of Wonder Programs (campfires, astronomy and more)
- Access to “Members Only” Events
- Subscription to MemberWorks – Oglebay Institute’s “Members Only” quarterly magazine
*Children and/or grandchildren must be under the age of 18 to be included on Family or higher memberships.
Friend Membership ($100)
The following privileges for up to two adults and six children or grandchildren*:
- Discounts on nearly all Oglebay Institute programs, including classes, theater, camps, workshops, wine tastings and more.
- Early registration for summer day camps
- Free admission to Oglebay Institute’s Mansion & Glass Museums at Oglebay
- Free admission to Schrader Center Summer of Wonder Programs (campfires, astronomy and more)
- Access to “Members Only” Events
- Oglebay Institute facility rental privileges

Patron Membership ($150)
