Auditions for "Cabaret"

Open auditions for “Cabaret.”  Dave Henderson directs.

Cast includes 9 men and 9 women. Only ages 18 and older are permitted to audition.

7pm August 8 & 9 at Towngate Theatre. Play is staged September 16, 17, 18, 23 & 24.

Please prepare a song that highlights your vocal skills, it may or may not be from “Cabaret.” An accompanist will be provided. Please supply sheet music. There will also be a bluetooth speaker if you wish to use a recorded track from your phone. You will also be asked to read from the script. If you are interested in being a Kit Kat Klub Dancer, you should attend the Monday audition.

About the Play

Set in 1929–1930 Berlin as the Nazis are ascending to power, the well-known musical “Cabaret” focuses on the hedonistic nightlife at the infamous Kit Kat Klub and revolves around the relationship between American author Cliff Bradshaw and cabaret performer Sally Bowles.

A show for mature audiences, “Cabaret” features some of the most memorable and enticing songs and choreography in theater history coupled with dark thematic content.
