Jazz at the Stifel presents Boilermaker Jazz Band

The Boilermaker Jazz Band brings the sounds of the Jazz Age and Swing Era back to life. You’ll hear familiar tunes and rarities performed by superb instrumentalists and heartfelt vocalists as the band interprets jazz classics and the Great American Songbook in their own unique fashion.

Boilermaker Jazz Band has performed at major venues coast to coast and around the world, including Lincoln Center, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and the Smithsonian. The band also boasts an impressive list of appearances at festivals including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Catalina Island Swing Festival in California, Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland, and the Jeju Island Swing Festival in South Korea.

They recorded 14 critically acclaimed albums and have appeared on radio shows across the country and overseas, including an NPR jazz series. The band’s music was also featured on the hit Fox TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Experience big city jazz shows in Wheeling.

Some of the region’s top jazz artists perform at the Stifel Fine Arts Center on select Saturdays throughout the year. Crowd-pleasing performers, expert showman and award-winning song stylists entertain crowds in the elegant, yet intimate, splendor of one of Wheeling’s grand properties.

The 100-year-old Edemar Mansion (now known as the Stifel Fine Arts Center) is the former home of one of Wheeling’s most prominent families and is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

While enjoying a selection of desserts and wines that are available for purchase at all shows, marvel at the stained glass windows, grand central staircase, marble floors and the majestic fireplace in the formal living room.
