Event Details

Use the amazing material Precious Metal Clay (PMC) to create a handmade hollow pendant at the Stifel Fine Arts Center’s May 13 jewelry making workshop.

Instructor Donna Penoyer will lead you as you learn to form PMC into interesting hollow forms. You’ll add bails and decorative layers to create individual flair. After firing, clay will turn into pure silver jewelry.

Meets 10am-5:30pm Saturday, May 13. Open to ages 14 & up. Bring a bag lunch.

$115 ($95 OI members). Register online or call 304-242-7700.

About the instructor:

Donna Penoyer is a Pittsburgh-based handmade jewelry artisan specializing in metal clay, a medium — in her words — “responds well to both spontaneity and revision; that has the potential to look rustic or refined, austere or whimsical, with satisfying immediacy; that’s strong, beautiful, and precious; and that transforms all the way from clay to metal, from simple lump to complex construction.”

Teaching various workshops throughout the region since 2006, Donna loves helping others discover the metal clay medium and the rewarding work creativity can produce. See her work at donnapenoyer.com.
