"Night Tree" Children's Book Reading & Craft

Sure to become a holiday favorite, this beautifully illustrated story of a family’s unusual tradition brings to life the true spirit of Christmas.

Enjoy some cocoa and cookies while listening to a reading of Eve Bunting’s  “Night Tree”– the story of a young family that travels into the forest to decorate a tree with edible ornaments as gifts for the animals of the woods. Then, make some all-natural holiday decorations to put out on the Schrader Center’s own night tree!

Meets 4-5pm Saturday, December 14 at the Schrader Center in Oglebay.

$10/$8 OI members per child; $5/$2 OI members per adult.

Replace your child’s screen time with green time! Our family nature programs bring families together for quality time learning about nature. So, get outside and explore! Activities ignite children’s interests in science and nature. Children socialize with other kids outside of a traditional classroom setting. They have a lot of fun, too. And parents meet and connect with other parents. Most of all, our programs instill a lifelong appreciation and respect for the natural world.
