Parcel Players present "Guys and Dolls" at Towngate Theatre

Parcel Players presents the Tony Award Winning Guys and Dolls on August 6th-9th at Towngate Theatre. Guys and Dolls, with a book by Abe Burrow and Jo Swerling, musica and lyrics by Frank Loesser, is a classic musical comedy set in mythical New York City, based on Damon Runyon’s stories about gamblers and “mission dolls”. It premiered on Broadway in 1950, winning the Tony Award for Best Musical, and features iconic characters like Sky Masterson, Sarah Brown, Nathan Detroit, and Miss Adelaide, alongside famous songs like “Luck be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat”. The show is celebrated for its humor, memorable score, and enduring popularity, leading to numerous revivals and a famous 1955 film adaptation.
