About the Movie

“The Witches of Eastwick” is a clever fantasy comedy about three best friends, played by Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer, who find out they have magical powers when they are together. When they wish for their perfect man, an inexplicably charismatic and mysterious stranger, played by Jack Nicholson, arrives in their lives. As time passes, they begin to question his motives. Have they unintentionally summoned the devil?

You Can Have Dinner, too!

Moviegoers have the option to have dinner in Towngate’s social room prior to the screening. Park once and enjoy twice the fun!

Dinners will be served promptly at 6:30 p.m. before each film. After dinner, head upstairs for the movie at 7:30 p.m. The cost for dinner is $30 and includes your seat for the movie, all food, coffee, tea, water and a box of popcorn to enjoy during the film. Beer and wine are available for purchase.

The menu for the evening includes cabbage rolls or pork loin (select one), mashed red potatoes, green beans, pasta salad, almond sheet cake.

You must make reservations for dinner by 5pm Wednesday prior to the screening. You don’t need to make reservations for the film.

Towngate: A unique movie theater in Wheeling.

A church-turned-theater, Towngate is located in Wheeling’s historic Centre Market District and is part of the nonprofit Oglebay Institute. Towngate offers entertainment almost every weekend including theater, improv, live music, children’s theater and more. A variety of acting classes are offered year-round.

As a single screen cinema, Towngate celebrates the significance of the small-town movie house by bringing classic films back to the big screen.
