“Pippin,” the celebrated and much-loved musical is the season opener for the main stage season at Towngate Theatre in Wheeling.

Shows take place September 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 2024. Curtain is at 8pm Fridays and Saturdays. A 3pm matinee takes place Sunday, September 22.

About the Play

“Pippin” is the story of one young man’s journey to be extraordinary. Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh, and the intrigues of political power. In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the ordinary moments that happen every day.
