Vondel Bell Art Exhibition - Towngate Theatre

Towngate Theatre hosts the the artwork of Vondel Bell March 4 – May 22.

Vondel Bell, an East Wheeling native and former football star at Wheeling Park High School and California University of Pennsylvania, is a mural, portrait and graphic artist. He’s created more than 300 different pieces of art including large murals that adorn the hallways of Bridge Street Middle School, Wheeling Park High School and West Liberty University. His portraits often depict sports, music, historical and social justice icons. Vondel also has a custom clothing line which can be viewed on his Instagram account.

The exhibition is on display through May 22. The Gallery at Towngate is open 11am-1pm Monday through Friday and during all events.

Towngate Theatre is well known in Wheeling and its surrounding communities for community theater productions, children’s theater, concerts, ballet, film screenings, spoken word and other performing arts events. But did you know that Towngate is also an art gallery?

The Gallery at Towngate is a small space gallery that features the work of local and/or emerging artists and focuses on community engagement, inclusion and the mingling of visual and performing arts.
